Have you allowed yourself to get in such a rut that you can’t even remember what your dreams are anymore? Now, don’t try to tell me that you’ve never had a dream or goal that you wanted to achieve!! We all have, even if we forgot them. You got a little bogged down with every day life, that’s perfectly understandable. But, let me ask you something. Don’t you deserve, at the very least, the opportunity to try and reach that dream or goal? I would certainly think so. We all deserve that!!
It’s time to do a little reflecting! Come on, I know you can spare 15 – 20 minutes in your week somewhere to dedicate to yourself. Make the time! It can be going for a walk around the neighborhood, sitting on a park bench somewhere peaceful, or it can even be a nice, hot bath if you’re lucky. Just make it somewhere relatively quiet of distractions. Soft, relaxing music would be great, if possible. Now, take a big, deep breath in. Hold it for just a couple of seconds and then let it out slowly. Close your eyes if location allows. Take a few more deep breaths, until you begin to physically feel your body starting to relax some.
I want you to think back over your life – go back as far as you need to in order to find that dream or goal. Found one didn’t you? OK, now gently bring that back to the present moment with you. Make a mental list, or even write it down, of all the reasons why you SHOULD start to believe in that again. I know, I know…you’re going to come up with all sorts of reasons why you shouldn’t. But, those are really just excuses. Believe me, it’s never too late to go after that dream. People are going back to school later in life more and more these days. They decided that it was time to live their life for them!!
So now that we have rekindled those thoughts…are you ready to start pursing it?!?! Always remember this – you deserve it!
