We all want for soneone to tell us that we are on the right path, doing a good job, etc. But the problem with that is that we are choosing to look for that validation from external sources, such as friends, family, etc.
We must learn to trust our gut instincts and provide our own validation to ourselves. If you can’t depend on yourself for trust and honesty, how are you ever really going to accept it from someone else? It’s something to think about!
Something else we need to learn to do is to ackowledgr and applaud our own accomplishments. Sure, it’s nice to get the recognition from our peers, but let that be the bonus factor. At the end of the day, you should be your own foundation. You must believe in your achievements to begin with! When we turn to others for that initial praise and approval, we are giving them entirely too much power over our life, and sadly – they may not always have our best interest at heart. Instead, they may be more interested in satisfying their own agendas.
So – learn to love and trust yourself, first and foremost! Are you up for a little challenge? You need to be ablr to recognize your good qualities and abilities, and to whole heartedly believe in your accomplishments, not matter how big or how small.
Let me throw out this little reminder before we start… It is very important that you do not compare yourself to someone else! This is all about YOU!!
Ok, when making your list of your achievements – they can be big or small, in the past or just today. When you focus on the positive things like that, not only does it make you feel better in this very moment…but you will grt better at realizing all of the accomplishments and it will continually inspire you to keep doing even better
Now, start your personal achievement list. Be sure amd add to it every day. This will serve as a constant reminder of things you HAVE done, rsther than things you HAVEN’T. Keep up all the good work!!!
